About

Bear Claw is a small brewery in Berwick-upon-Tweed that focuses on fermentation in oak.


All our beers are fermented in ex-wine barrels.

We barrel-age some of our beers, but our main vibe is the use of oak barrels as a standard fermentation vessel. All of our pale ales, IPAs, stouts, saisons etc are served mild after around 4-6 weeks conditioning.


We rarely bottle or can our beers, mostly they're served draught in the brewery on our open days.

The First Wednesday of the month 12-9pm

Dogs: Unfortunately dogs are not allowed in the brewery, but they are welcome in our outside seating area, just check the weather first.
